Affiliate disclosure

In plain terms: The Wellness Ledger earns money through affiliate links, and we want you to know exactly how, so you can trust that our Gumitide review is honest.

What an affiliate link is

Some of the links on this website, including the "Check current price" buttons and the links to the Gumitide official website, are affiliate links. If you click one and then make a purchase, the manufacturer pays us a small commission. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise; the commission comes out of the seller's margin, never out of your pocket.

Why we use affiliate links

We buy the products we review at full retail price, and testing them properly takes time. Affiliate commissions are what make that possible without charging readers or putting the site behind a paywall. It is a common model for independent review publications, and we think it is the fairest way to keep our content free and open.

How it does, and does not, affect our reviews

This is the part that matters most. Earning a commission never changes our opinion, our scores or what we choose to write. We rate products on a fixed set of criteria, we publish the negatives alongside the positives, and we include critical user reviews. A manufacturer cannot pay us to raise a score, soften a criticism or remove a con. If a product is not worth buying, we say so, commission or not. Our Gumitide editorial score sits below the community rating precisely because we deduct points for things like an undisclosed proprietary blend.

FTC compliance

We follow the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). That means we disclose our affiliate relationships clearly and close to the relevant links, in the banner at the top of every page, beside our calls to action, and here on this dedicated page. We aim to leave no doubt about how we are compensated.

Independence

The Wellness Ledger is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the manufacturer of Gumitide or any product we review. We only ever link to a manufacturer's official website, never to third-party marketplace listings, because the official site is where you get the genuine product and the money-back guarantee.
